Within the framework ot the Grundtvig Workshop " The colour blue at the crossroads of interculturality and artistic practices", the association "Paysage et patrimoine sans frontière" recieved in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (from 16 to 25 June 2011 ) 20 participants of seven European countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Czech Republic, Romania. On the programme, visit of the "Blue high places "of Ile-de-France such as Maurice Denis Museum, Chapel of Saint-Louis, Royal Apothecary in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Orangerie Museum in Paris , Georges Pompidou Centre, Orsay Museum, "Palais de la Découverte" in Paris, Claude Monet Garden in Giverny. "

The artistic creation has being in honour with this innovative intercultural experience. The participants were invited to install their pieces of blue to recreate the Intercultural-Carpet-Blue in the Chapel of Saint Louis Saint-Germain-en-Laye. They also worked with visual artists: Aline Rutily, Annick Le Caro, Patrick François, Martine Vimeney, Mimi Contesse.
They staged their texts with " performeuses " Mimi Contesse and Nathalie Frémaux and they articulated the arts and the sciences by creating herbariums with Roberte Capillon, trainer in biology.

The blue cross-cultural works of the participants - fabric sculptures, mosaics, herbariums, books, plexiglas, "performance", installations - have been exhibitionned at "Espace Vera " exhibition opened in the presence of the Mayor Emmanuel Lamy.

Some photographers of Saint-Germain-en-Laye club presented during this exhibition a beautiful selection of blue photographies : Annie Dancette, Roberte Capillon, Anne Ikhlef and Bernard Capillon, president of Saint-Germain-en-Laye Club, which we owe most of the photographies of the event. . The workshop gave the opportunity to discover the work of the "Light creators" Myriam Laurent and Laval Quéré (Iguzzini Society ). The participants have had the pleasure of seeing at "Espace Vera " their works illuminated with the colour blue .
